Risen Savior Missions: Come & Learn March 23

Our Lecturers program on Thursday, March 23, 2016 at 8:00 pm will be Gerald Krosnowski representing Risen Savior Missions, where Jerry and his wife Barbara are serving as President. They have a heart for mission work and have been doing it since 1967 when they lived in Detroit, Michigan. But, decades of helping people in third-world countries did not prepare them for what they would discover in the Philippines 10 years ago.

They are members of Mary, Mother of the Church in Burnsville where Jerry is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Through a partnership with Feed My Starving Children, they were able to ship 100,000 meals to the Philippines after returning home from the Philippines. That was the start of a ministry they named Risen Savior Missions. They kept sending larger amounts of food every year, and to date have sent more than 56 million meals to Philippines.

They have gotten one of the villages Jerry visited on his first trip out of poverty, and are working to do the same across the country. They also work to educate and catechize the people they feed, and help villages become self-sustaining. Jerry tells a very interesting story of the support that is needed and how much progress they’ve made already. Please come and hear a very interesting presentation. You’ll be glad that you did.

The Lecturers program will be after our short meeting, approximately 8:00 p.m. Members, spouses and/or significant others and guests are welcome for our Lecturers programs. After our program we will go upstairs to the lounge for socializing, treats and refreshments.
