Our Lecturers program on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 6:30 pm will be Father Timothy Cloutier, S.T.B., J.C.L. who is Judicial Vicar and Head of the Metropolitan Marriage Tribunal. Father is from Minneapolis and attended St. Kevin’s Parish and School and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He entered St. John Vianney Seminary in St. Paul in 1973 and transferred to the Pontical College Josephinum in Ohio 1974-1976. Father Cloutier entered the Postulancy of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary (OMV) in Rome, Italy, 1976, and studied Philosophy and theology at the Angelicum University, Rome, 1976-1983. Perpetual Profession in 1979, Diploma in Latin Letters from the Gregorian University in Rome, and Ordained in Rome December 10, 1983. Ministry in Nice, France and Vienna, Austria, and various locations in Italy, 1983-1992 and worked in the Holy See from 1986-1990. Canon Law degree from Holy Cross, Rome, 1992. He was assigned various ministries in the Dioceses of Lincoln, Nebraska and Kansas City/St. Joseph, Missouri, 1993-97. Father Cloutier as Parochial Vicar at Immaculate Heart of Mary, Minnetonka, 1997-1999, and was incardinated in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, 2000.
He was Parochial Vicar at St. Raphael, Crystal, 1999-2003 and Pastor of St. Mary, Waverly, 2003-2011. Father’s topic will be “HELPING FALLEN AWAY CATHOLICS FIND THEIR WAY BACK”. Who is “fallen away”? Some causes, and what can parents and families do? What not to do.
The Lecturers program will begin at 6:30 pm. before our short meeting and Admissions Degree Ceremonial at 7:30 pm. Members, spouses and/or significant others and guests are welcome for our Lecturers programs. After our short meeting and Admissions Degree, we will go upstairs to the lounge for socializing, treats and cash bar.
