We ended 2011 with a successful Silent Auction for our Annual Charitable Fundraiser, chaired again by Beth Williams and her helper elves. Over $3200.00 was raised through the two wine raffles and from the purchase of the many attractive auction items. Thank you to Beth and your committee for all who donated, purchased and attended the Adult Christmas Party. We also want to reflect back to November’s Spaghetti Dinner and the efforts made by Chair Jean Ralph and her committee members. This event netted an additional $800.00 to our Auxiliary coffers.
We are returning to our regular schedule of not having a February meeting and then resuming with programs lined up by Vice President Pat Bruns. On March 15th, Pat has arranged for “Feed My Starving Children“ and then on April 19th we’ll be learning to “Retrain Your Brain“. Both presentations sound interesting and we urge your attendance at these Auxiliary dinner/meetings.
Please mark your calendars for two up- coming events. First, our State Convention to be held on Saturday, April 28th in Maple Grove and the second one, our annual Jean Ingram Memorial Living Rosary on Tuesday, May 1st. The Rosary will start at 6:00 p.m. with a light dinner to follow and then we will cap the evening with a special program that my husband, Patrick, Respect for Life Chair, says will feature a key area speaker on Pro Life issues that will be pertinent to our age group.
A closing request, please keep track of all of your volunteer hours and turn them in to Chair Sandi Lamb. Thank you and I’ll see you at our Auxiliary activities.
